I just  bought a trio  -  1 male , 2 female of green  swords - I  have  never  bred  swords before ,  they  are  in   a  tank on their  own   approx 25" x 15" x 12"  - just  wondering if anyone  has  any  advice -  Are the  females  cannibalistic  ? or can  I  leave any  fry  with  mum ?  I  was planning  on  letting  the females give  birth   and letting  the  fry  escape into   java  moss -  thanks .

u should really seperate the fry so i would put the female into a tank by herself when she looks ready to drop.for some reason my females don't give birth until i move them,so sometimes i end up with big fry.

jazzer is right for some swords. but i flock breed mine with loads of java moss and wool spawning mops. if you have the room, let them drop in the main tank then move the fry after a few hours. this way you will not stress the female or the fry to much. we all have our own ways so you decide the best method for you
