Hi guys.
are any of you keeping these. one of the younger members of my club has asked if i can get him some so he can start a breeding programme. this is his first attempt at line breeding and he seems to have his heart set on the wild guppies.
obviously i will pay for the fish and p&p.
any help appreciated. nice to see the young uns taking an interest in livebearers.

Hi Tony.

sorry, not endlers. i have loads of them.
david, the lad from the club, is after wild type guppies. some have similar colours to the endlers but are more often less colourful.many show faint green in colour, they are usually smaller in size and have small tails, not like the fancies we see today..
thanks

Hi there, I have some genuine wild guppies. these have not been crossed with endlers or mixed with fancy guppies so they are totally pure.Let me know if you want some as I only have a few pairs at the moment.

hi keith a few years ago now a friend in the fishy business sent off for what was described as "live fish for food" from the import suppliers, and what he got back was wild guppies. they were in a bit of a state but he bunged them in a tank and after a month or two they were in a reasonable state to sell on. i know its not ideal for younguns but it might be worth a try if youve a spare tank.
