Hi Tony,

I have bred Hump Backs. I am not sure about the other's experiences with them, but I think they are quite easy.

One significant thing to remember is that they seem to do better at higher temperatures. Like many Limias, they do tend to go skinny at lower temperatures they seem to be susceptible to white spot.

Other than that, follow normal poeciliidae rules, I have had fry from my fish when they have been fed on flake, but obviously they do better on n.h. brine shrimp and frozen food.

I have found that they don't eat their fry and I flock bred them.

There we go. Hope all that helps.

As for water quality, I don't think they are too demanding. I keep mine in tap water zapped with conditioner and a drop of Melafix per bucket.

Hi Tony,

No, I don't think our humpbacks are related. You are welcome to mine, although they are just youngsters now as I am getting rid of them to make space for my spring haul. Mine are aquarium stock.

I am not sure, but I think Keith's may have collection data so they will be preferable I would assume.

Yup. I can get hold of mine for free, so it is not an issue for me.

I think Keith uses them to make life size polystyrene dinosaurs. LOL.

I'm collecting the boxes the frozen blister packs come in, these would be perfect for 1 or 2 bags of fish.
Gary has used them and found them to be quite good.

So when i sell fish i will not be wanting mine back [;)]

They work very well. You can pack alot of sausage bags in them.
